15명 정도 앞에서 오랜만에 영어로 발표할려니, 긴장이되고 버벅이고..;; 발표가 몇일 남지 않았을 때, 대본을 작성해서 마무리가 허전하다.
앞으로 매번 모임마다 최소 한번은 나가서 말해봐야겠다.

CC#1 The Ice Breaker
Good evening Mr. toastmaster and fellow toastmasters. My name is Tom. I have been working for computer industry for seven years. I made several computer programs, such as a weather application for smart phones, a video rental system like the iTunes and an online shopping mall. These days I’m preparing IELTS English test to work in Australia next year. I want to tell you why I want to go to Australia.
First of all I want some changes. One day I was sitting on a chair in the office and finding bugs in programs until late at night like other days. I suddenly thought that I have done the same things for seven years and I will be doing the same things next ten years too. There will not be a big change. Actually I’m satisfied with my job and the company. I like my colleagues. But it’s getting boring. I want to get more challenged and need some change. So I have been looking for something that can refresh my life.
Secondly, I have wanted to go abroad since high school. I had a friend when I was a student. He and I were very close friend. We studied and played together. That time English teacher suggested my class to study in New Zealand during summer vacation. My friend’s family was rich so he said to go there right away. I also want to go with him, but my parents couldn’t afford me to go. I envied him a lot. From that time I made up my mind when I earn much money I will go abroad and travel around the world.
Finally, I love water sports like fishing, surfing, snorkelling and scuba diving. Several years ago I learned scuba diving in Cairns, a glorious town in North-East Australia. The town is very famous for its nature, especially The Great Barrier Reef. I dived in the barrier reef once and I never forget the beautiful underwater scenery. There were various colorful fishes, reefs and other creatures. The water was crystal clear. I could see 30 meters ahead. When I came back to Korea, I dived few times in the East Sea. But It was totally different. The water was cold and the vision was not good. I could merely see 5 to 10 meters ahead and there were not many fishes. I want to dive in the barrier reef once again.
Because of these reasons I want to go Australia next year. Thank you for listening to my speech.
